Obama’s Media Strategy: Blitz or Backfire? That’s the theme of a recent blog post on MyRagan this month that asks if the media is biased when it comes to reporting on President Barak Obama. The former journalist, PR and communications person who made the post admits she voted for President Obama and praises his publicity team. Though it is hard to group “all” journalists or “all” democrats or republicans together and speak generally about the situation, she does elicit some interesting feedback both for and against her argument. What do you think? Is President Obama getting more than a fair shake? Or are some people being overly critical? Regardless, it is true that good PR, coordinated communications and planned out positioning can make a big difference. And being a likable, down-to-earth person with the media certainly doesn’t hurt either!
